SmashCam is a companion app for Wi-Fi dashcams. When something happens on the road, you tap once — and the app later fetches the recording that covers that moment, along with the lead-up and the aftermath, and shows you where it happened.

What it does

• One tap, on the road. Press once while driving rather than trying to find a clip later. The app remembers the instant.
• The right recording, automatically. It works out which recording was running when you pressed, and downloads that one — with the context around it on every camera the dashcam has.
• Where it happened. Each moment carries its location, shown on a map.
• Yours to keep or share. Play a moment back, or export the footage as a package.

What you need

A compatible Wi-Fi dashcam, and an iPhone. The app talks to your camera directly over the camera's own Wi-Fi network — there is no internet connection involved, and nothing about you is sent anywhere.

If your dashcam does not have Wi-Fi, or is not a make the app supports, the app cannot reach it.

Your footage stays yours

The app has no account, no login and no server. Your recordings and locations are held on your own iPhone and nowhere else. The privacy policy states this in full.
